Driveway & Gravel Preparation

Prepare, reshape and improve gravel drive areas with attention to the existing base, surface and intended use.

Service Guide

What is Driveway & Gravel Preparation?

Driveway and gravel preparation is the tractor work used to shape an existing drive, prepare an area for gravel, redistribute material and improve a rough surface. The right work depends heavily on the condition of the base beneath the gravel.

When this service makes sense

  • Reshaping rough or rutted gravel drives
  • Preparing an area before gravel is placed
  • Redistributing existing gravel
  • Correcting minor surface irregularities where the base allows

How Mission Ready approaches the work

Mission Ready evaluates the existing drive, low spots, ruts, available material and access before recommending work. If a driveway needs material, major drainage construction or work beyond the available equipment, that should be identified before the job is scheduled.

What to send for a quote

  • Your property location or nearest town
  • Photos of the work area from several angles
  • Approximate dimensions or acreage
  • What you want the finished area to do
  • Any access, drainage, terrain or material concerns you already know about
Transportation is part of the project.
Equipment transportation and mobilization are considered when your job is quoted. The cost depends on the property location and project scope, so you know what is included before work is scheduled.
Straight Answers

Driveway & Gravel Preparation FAQs

Can you fix potholes in a gravel driveway?

Some potholes and ruts can be improved by reshaping and redistributing material, but recurring problems may indicate base or drainage issues that require additional work or material.

Do you supply gravel?

Material needs are handled as part of the project scope. If gravel or other material is required, discuss it during the quote so sourcing, delivery and placement are clear.

Can you prepare a new driveway?

Mission Ready can evaluate tractor-based preparation work, but a new driveway may require excavation, base material, drainage or other work depending on the site.

Will grading keep water off my driveway?

Surface shaping can help direct water in some situations, but drainage performance depends on the surrounding terrain, base, ditches, culverts and storm conditions.

What photos should I send?

Send wide photos of the full drive plus close-ups of ruts, potholes, low areas and drainage concerns. Include the property location and approximate driveway length.

Plan the right scope for your property

Send length and width, photos of ruts or washouts, the entrance and the existing surface. Explain whether rock is already on site or material supply needs to be discussed.

Related work to discuss

Compare grading and leveling or tractor and loader work when planning the next step. Related services are included only when agreed in your quote.
